The Central Florida District of the Business Brokers of Florida is proud to be the center of the state’s tourism market; where our district stretches from just west of Orlando are, Lake and Polk Counties on eastward to Volusia; as far south as Brevard County and everything in between.
There are an estimated 900 plus people moving to Florida every day, and over half of them are relocating within our district. Enjoying beautiful year-round average temperatures from 75 to 89 degrees, along with being just about an hour to the beach, it is no wonder why so many people choose Central Florida to call home.
Central Florida /Orlando is home to seven of the world’s top theme parks like Disney World, Universal Studios, and Sea World. Tourism expands east to the beautiful beaches from Melbourne and up the coast past Daytona, where the world-famous Daytona 500 is held annually. Orlando Convention Center boasts the second-largest convention space in North America, spanning 7 million square feet. In 2019 the OCC had more than 200 events, supporting over 25,600 jobs and positively affecting 1,000 businesses. It is the number one family vacation destination year after year, even setting a record of 75 million annual visitors in 2018.
This is hugely significant to the thousands of service industry-related businesses, including restaurants, entertainment, hotels, and their supporting business that could be considered the lifeblood of our economy. However, even with its substantial economic impact, the hospitality and tourism industries only account for only 20 % of employment in Central Florida, leaving many other types of businesses in our district driving the local economy. In addition, we have many other strong growth-type industries like manufacturing, construction, medical, and education, including the University of Central Florida.
With almost 72,000 students (in 2020), UCF is the largest university by enrollment in Florida and one of the largest universities in the nation. It has more than 12,000 employees and an operating budget of $1.9 billion.
We cannot forget to include the expansion of Space X and our countries commitment to returning to the Moon as well further to Mars.
This has caused a resurgence of the space coast and NASA which in turn sparked a boom of growth in all business sectors along the coast.
There are unlimited opportunities to own and operate a business of ones choosing here the Central Florida.
The toughest decision could be which Central Florida District Business Broker will you choose to assist you in buying or selling your business?
