Richard Ceballos

Richard Ceballos is a business broker with Sunbelt Business Brokers of South Florida, focused on sell-side transactions in the Main Street and lower middle market across Broward and Palm Beach County.

His background is in institutional finance rather than brokerage. Prior to joining Sunbelt, Richard worked in interest rate derivatives and debt capital markets at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, oil and gas investment banking at Credit Suisse in Houston, and held corporate development roles at NextEra Energy and Ascend Performance Materials. He has been on both sides of M&A transactions across multiple industries and capital structures.

He applies that experience to how he works with sellers — helping owners understand what their business is actually worth, preparing it to hold up through buyer and lender scrutiny, and navigating the complexity that almost always emerges between a signed offer and a closed deal. His goal on every listing is a well-prepared seller, a realistic price, and a transaction that closes.

Richard is a South Florida native, a University of Miami Finance graduate, and holds an MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. He welcomes referral relationships with CPAs, attorneys, lenders, and wealth managers who work with business-owning clients in the South Florida market.
